Financial & Medical Assistance

Some seniors and people with disabilities may be eligible for financial and medical assistance. Programs include Medicaid, Medicare Savings Programs, and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). All programs are based on a person’s income and resources. Medicaid offers a full range of medical services. Medicare Savings Programs (MSP) help people pay their monthly Medicare premium. Some MSP also assist with Medicare co-payments and deductibles. The SNAP program helps stretch people’s food budget. Other assistance exists as well. To learn more, please contact your local NWSDS office.
