NWSDS has two advisory councils. The Senior Advisory Council is made up of 20 members. The Disability Advisory Council is made up of 15 members. Both advisory councils provide guidance to NWSDS. Tasks include reviewing and approving NWSDS’ budget, tracking legislation, monitoring services paid for by NWSDS, interviewing and recommending new advisory council members, and acting as an executive committee.
The councils usually meet monthly at NWSDS’ Salem office. Meetings are open to the public. For a current schedule, please see our Calendar of Meetings and Events. If you are interested in serving on NWSDS’ advisory councils, please see Volunteer Opportunities for information about current openings.
